Panchang by city

India keeps one clock across about 29 degrees of longitude, so sunrise is not a national figure. On 30 September 2026 the sun reaches Imphal at 05:07 AM and Rajkot at 06:39 AM — 1h 32m apart, on the same clock. Everything measured from sunrise moves with it: Rahu Kaal, Choghadiya, Hora and Abhijit. That is what these pages are for.

Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga and Karana are not on that list. They change at one instant worldwide, so they are the same in every Indian city and we do not dress them up as local.

Not on the list?

A city only earns a page where its sunrise genuinely differs from its neighbours'. Towns within about forty kilometres share a sunrise to the minute, so they are named on the nearest city's page rather than given a duplicate of it. For anywhere else, the Panchang calculator takes an exact location.
